We just finished celebrating Valentine’s Day where the students love to give you their little trinkets, even if it’s just a card that they wrote their name on. They can’t wait to give it to you. They have the brightest smiles that can lighten even the darkest winter day. We have several special events planned for next month that have always fun and exciting. Spirit week is one of my favorites. Everyone has the opportunity to dress up each day and at the end of the week we have an Easter Egg Hunt. That tends to be a pretty spectacular site. Watching them run around and step over eggs has always been a baffling site but I can’t help but giggle at this every year. We also have spring pictures taken in April. That’s when we put the graduates in cap and gowns and the realization sets in that graduation is just around the corner and we need to get busy preparing for that. I’m not rushing it because we are in a good place with enrollment. Before we even have graduation I am already working on filling our openings from our ever growing waiting list.
Spring will be here before we know it and we are ready to see more sunshine and hopefully less rain. I know we need it, but it makes for some dark and dreary days. The staff has already started creating crafts which depict a brighter array of colors that reflect a more spring vibe. This is a nice change from the darker colors that are chosen for winter art projects. The teachers like to use these master pieces to decorate their rooms and will send them home for the parents to treasure for a lifetime. How honored these children should feel to already have a fan club, someone rooting them on and encouraging them with every breath. The love it shows is priceless. How honored we should feel to know our Heavenly Father is rooting us on and encouraging us. We may not have the talent to become an artist or sculptor, but if we let God sculpt our lives and paint the picture of the future He wants us to have then all the angels will be rejoicing. If God can paint the sky all the magnificent colors you see, create lands and seas as breath taking as possible. How much more would he be willing to do for His children? You may feel like a blank canvas or a lump of unmolded clay, but just put all your thoughts and prayers into seeking God’s plan for you. I promise it will be well worth the time and effort.
