Music Ministry

At Rose of Sharon, from the pews to the stage, we encourage everyone to lift up their voices and make a joyful noise to the God we love so much.  Because we believe that God has gifted individuals from the past and the present, we strive to include a large variety in the songs and musical offerings that we lift up.

Enjoy being part of a growing family of worshipers that leads others in praising God?  We have a spot waiting for you to fill.  Consider joining any one of these options in our musical family at Rose of Sharon.  For more information contact Jonathan Hendrickson at

Worship Choir

This is a multi-age group that meets once a week on Wednesday nights at 7:30.  In addition to singing alongside our Praise Team, we rehearse traditional SATB (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) choral numbers that encompass a variety of musical genres, and we prepare music for special celebration services.  This ministry consists of a weekly commitment to assist with worship in the 10:45 a.m. service each Sunday.  No audition or prior choral experience is necessary, only an enthusiasm for lifting up songs of praise to our Great God!

Children’s Choir

Seeing children and families grow in their love for Christ and one another is important to us at Rose of Sharon, and that means offering them an opportunity to learn how to worship.  That’s why each Wednesday night from 6:00-6:30 we invite children from ages 4-12 to join us in our ROS Children’s Choir.  We practice praise and worship songs that are accessible to them, and give them frequent opportunities to share their songs and energy with the larger congregation!

ROS Praise Team

This group of talented musicians leads our congregation in songs of praise and worship in our 10:30 a.m. worship service each Sunday.  If God has gifted you vocally and/or instrumentally, you have a moderate-to-high degree of musicality and a passion and commitment for leading others to worship, then you might consider auditioning to join our praise team.  Our doors are always open to those God sends our way!   They rehearse weekly.  If you have a desire to be part of the praise team, contact Gary Addison at

SALT stands for Sound And Light Team and is an important part of the worship that we do at Rose of Sharon.  This group of dedicated individuals makes it possible for our worship to be heard, understood, and shared.  They are responsible for all of the audio/visual elements of our corporate worship services as well as special events such as weddings, Vacation Bible School, etc.  Training is offered for any and all individuals interested in joining this team, and we are always on the look-out for new volunteers as well as those with prior A/V experience.
