Remembering Past Summer Vacations
Graduation was a success. The children preformed so well and I heard raving reviews from their families. They worked so hard and deserve the recognition for a job well done.
Summer has officially begun. We have several families taking vacations and leaving us behind. I think it’s wonderful for families to take time off to spend with each other. I remember taking family vacations to the mountains and lake. I will forever cherish the time I spent with my family exploring new places. My favorite part of traveling was singing as loud as I could from the back seat to pass time. I think my parents preferred to hear us sing than ask a million times “are we there yet?” I still remember my granny patting my leg to the beat of the music as we sang. For me those are the greatest memories of family time. We didn’t have TV’s or video games to play back then as we traveled, we had each other for entertainment.
Keep that in mind as you travel this summer. Create memories that last a lifetime, spend quality time with family, explore new places and sing even if you don’t think you can carry a tune. I love music, always have and always will. It’s been a big part of my life. I am so grateful for Pastor Jonathan who devotes his time, energy and effort into helping the preschool preparing for our programs. I am thankful for being a part of the wonderful group of people we have at Rose of Sharon. Thanks for all the support and love you share with us.
