Dear Church Family:

I heard a motivational speaker say that the Chinese word for crisis is made up of two characters, one meaning "danger" and the other meaning "opportunity". That is where we find ourselves in the midst of this pandemic called CoronaVirus.

The danger is real physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. At the same time, the opportunity is there for the church and the Christian. Our hope in Christ gives us an eternal perspective. There is an old hymn called "The Christ of Every Crisis." As people of faith, we know that our heavenly father will see us through.

This crisis also brings about real challenges that we are facing as a church family. Many of you are facing the same struggles yourself. With every new guideline, we seem to be more and more disconnected. The challenge and opportunity for us is to continue to use the technology we have to try to stay connected.

For the next two weeks, all services and gatherings of more than ten people will be canceled here at the church campus. We will continue to use Facebook live as our form of bringing a message to you each Sunday morning at 10 AM. I want to thank Jonathan for putting this past week's discussion together.

Like many of you who are facing uncertainty over your finances, we as a church are feeling the economic impact. Like you, we have put a freeze on any non essential expenditures. We ask that you continue to be a good steward and support the church financially so that we can continue to minister both during and after the crisis subsides. You can send your tithe to the church at 4109 Guess Road or you can give online at our website: www.rosbc.org.

In the meantime, If you have a ministry need, contact your deacons or one of your pastoral staff.

Continue to lift up our country, our leaders, our healthcare providers, our church, our staff, and those facing this crisis head on. Together with God's guidance and Christ as our Anchor, we will meet the storms caused by this pandemic.
