Nurtures Christian growth and service through worship, teaching, training, fellowship and discipleship.
Ministers to the needs of the community in cooperation with other Christians in reaching out to the world.
Endeavors to assist the spiritual growth of families through education and programs based upon traditional Christian values and Biblical morals specifically designed to meet the developmental needs of each age group.
The vision of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church is to be a place where you can grow. As a church body, we want to provide opportunities for you to grow in three areas:
Spiritually: Each person needs to have a personal relationship with Christ. This is the beginning point of your spiritual growth.
Relationally: As Christians, each person needs to grow in their relationship with others. This includes relationships within the church through the various ministries. Each person also needs to develop relationships outside the church in order to reach the community for Christ.
Individually: As a follower of Christ, God has called each person to be a disciple, a minister, and a servant. This is a daily, lifelong commitment as each person becomes responsible for his or her growth.
What We Believe
Rose of Sharon is a Baptist Church, consisting of believers in Jesus Christ, who have followed His example by being baptized by immersion and who continue to grow in their faith in Christ. Below are our foundational, core beliefs. For a more in-depth explanation of our doctrinal beliefs, we are a church that identifies with and affirm The Baptist Faith & Message.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is without error. It is the true and accurate account of God’s love for us, revealed in the Person of Jesus Christ.
We believe in the Deity of Christ. Jesus is God and became man through the virgin birth. He is fully God and fully man.
We believe in the atonement of Jesus on the cross. He became our substitute and sacrifice for our sins. As a result, salvation is by grace through faith in the belief and acceptance that the death of Jesus paid punishment for our sins.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus. After His death, He rose again the third day and appeared to His disciples. He is alive and sits at the right hand of God the Father.
We believe that Jesus will return to the earth. The time, date, and details of His second coming are determined by God.
Rose of Sharon Baptist Church receives members in three ways:
By Becoming a Christian: Read through our page here, for guidance on becoming a Christian. After praying to receive Christ contact us, and you will be presented to the church for baptism.
By Church Letter: We will contact your former church and request a transfer of membership letter to Rose of Sharon.
By Statement of Faith: If you have prayed to receive Christ and have been baptized by immersion, but do not have membership in a church, you are making a statement of faith. If you have prayed to receive Christ, but have not been baptized by immersion, you will be encouraged to join by baptism. If you come from a faith background that sprinkles, you will need to join the church and be baptized by immersion.
Rose of Sharon Baptist Church is a church that emphasizes the team approach to ministry. Our staff and lay leaders work together to encourage ministries to every age group. We approach ministry here as a family and would love to have you and your family as part of our extended family. Our pastor and staff are available to meet with you individually, or as a family, if you have further questions. Feel free to either call us or email us through this site.
